Black Pepper Crabs

Hi, by the time I wrote post this, it was already a good 2am Saturday morning....Mr Hubby still not back yet!..he's involved in the the coming big event that will be happening in Singapore..the 2010 Youth Olympic Games..well cant elaborate more, as he was quite busy.... in fact very busy for the past few months for this...
Imagine he did not have his dinner at home for a the past few weeks now....excluding Sundays only..cause even Saturdays it was burnt...out of the blue, on Wednesday morning before he left for office, he said he wanted to eat crabs..and specifically said  black pepper crabs,and will be back for dinner that night although its late..
Frankly I have never cooked black pepper crabs before..hehehe tak gelabah kita dibuatnya..heheh..but no worries I told myself....surf the netlah was the answer....came across this recipe and gave it a try...added more chili padis and black peppercorns..ha engkau..berpeluh2 dia makan..hehehe..lepas tu cakap best!!..kombang lubang hidung mokcik tau...hilang penat malam2 menumis..hehehe...

Ingredients
1 1/2 Dungeness Crab (3 1/2 lbs)-(Ayu used about 2 flower crabs)
5 Tbsp Coarsely Ground Black Peppercorns
5 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
6 cloves Garlic, chopped
10 Thai Bird's Eye Chilies, chopped
2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Kicap Manis
Peanut Oil for deep frying

Method
Coat the crab pieces with some corn flour and deep fry them in hot oil. Then set aside.

Add 1 Tbsp of peanut oil together with the butter. Then add the garlic and chilies and stir briefly or until the garlic is light golden in color and fragrant.

Then add the coarsely ground black peppers, oyster sauce, kicap manis, dark and light soy sauce. Bring to a quick boil and toss in the crab pieces and stir until well combine. Serve immediately.

Chocolate Cheese Marble Cake


Salam kembali...hehe...macam dah lama tak baking, tangan ni macam gaaatel ler..haha....feel like eating cake, came across this recipe in one of my friend's facebook...print out and here it is..
this cake is so moist and really melts in your mouth...sedap pada kitalah...

ps:-To Lin, this was the cake the other day..hope you & family like it...

Ingredients A:-
180g mentega -(Ayu gunakan 200g)
170g gula castor-(Ayu gunakan 130g)
3 biji telur
*20g serbuk koko diayak
*120g top flour diayak
*1 sudu kecil baking powder diayak


Ingredients B:-
250g cream cheese
60g castor sugar-(Ayu gunakan 45g)
1 sudu kecil vanilla esen
1 biji telur
100ml susu

Method:-
Pukul butter dan gula hingga kembang dan putih. Masukkan telur sebiji demi sebiji. Masukkan tepung, serbuk koko dan baking powder yang telah diayak sikit2. Gaul rata dengan spatula.
Dalam bekas yang lain, pukul kesemua bahan B hingga kembang. Tuangkan adunan A sedikit kedalam loyang 7" yang telah dilenser terlebih dahulu dan ratakan. Kemudian tuang sedikit adunan B, diikuti adunan A dan seterusnya hingga habis.Lepas tu boleh marblekan adunan ikut preference. Preheat oven dengan meletakkan  loyang 10" yang telah dibubuh air letakkan loyang yang berisi adunan tadi kedalm loyang ini dan steam bake selama 60 min at 160C. Setelah masak tunggu betul2 sejuk sebelum dipotong dan hidang.

Kerapu Bakar Berempah Woku

Siaran diteruskan..sebelum magrib ni...memang dah lama aim nak buat this dish...akhirnya tercapai juga..and memang tak menyesal buat tau!!..wa cakap sama lu..hehe..Sedaappp!!Recipe was from  KakUmmi,  selepas tu dirumah  Jun then  Hana then terakhir nampak kat  rumah KakZai. Ada ke yang I termiss?..Begitulah yang I remembered...Thank you Kak Ummi for sharing and thank you ladies...for promoting this recipe!..


Apa2 pun I changed the fish used instead of Siakap(Seabass), I used, Kerapu(Grouper)..


SIAKAP BAKAR BEREMPAH WOKU (*note: sangat sedap)-(Ayu pun cakap sangat sedap!!)
Bahan:- (akak wat sukatan untuk seekor ikan)
  • 2 ekor (550 gm) ikan siakap - dikelar-kelar-(Ayu gunakan ikan kerapu)
  • 2 sudu teh air perahan limau nipis (*akak guna limau kasturi jek)
  • 1 sudu teh garam
# Lumur ikan siakap dengan limau nipis dan garam. Perapkan 15 minit. Bersihkan dan ketepikan.
  • 8 helai daun limau purut - buang tulangnya dan hiris halus
  • 4 helai daun pandan - hiris halus
  • 2 helai daun kunyit - hiris halus
  • 3 batang serai - ambil putihnya dan hiris halus
  • 5 tangkai selasih - diambil daunnya (*akak xda stok ni)
  • 2 biji tomato merah - potong dadu
  • 250 ml air
  • 1/2 sudu teh garam
  • 1 sudu teh gula pasir
  • 2 tangkai daun bawang - dipotong-potong (*ni akak lupa nk tabur)
  • 3 sudu makan minyak masak untuk menumis
Bahan Kisar:-
  • 12 biji bawang merah
  • 7 biji cili padi merah (akak guna yg biasa je, campur2)
  • 5 biji buah keras - bakar kejap
  • 3 cm kunyit hidup - bakar (*akak x bakar pun)
  • 2 cm halia
Bahan Pelengkap:-
  • Daun senduduk secukupnya (*akak guna daun salad jek)
  • 1 biji timun - dipotong serong
  • 4 tangkai selasih
  • 6 biji cili padi merah hiris untuk tabur
Cara Memasak:-
  1. Panaskan minyak dalam kuali, tumiskan bahan kisar, daun limau, daun pandan, daun kunyit dan serai sehingga terbit aroma.
  2. Masukkan tomato dan kacau hingga layu.
  3. Masukkan air, gula pasir dan garam. Masak sehingga matang dan mendidih.
  4. Masukkan daun selasih dan ikan siakap. Masak sehingga kuah menyerap.
  5. Sediakan alluminium foil yang telah digriskan sedikit minyak dan letak angkat ikan tadi di atas alluminium foil.
  6. Tuangkan juga semua kuah pekat tadi rata-rata menyaluti ikan.
  7. Bakar selama 30 minit dengan suhu ketuhar 180C sehingga ikan masak.
  8. Hidangkan bersama pelengkapnya dan bahan taburan cili padi hiris.
  9. Selamat menjamu selera!!! Hingga menjilat jari uuuuu...

Kuih Keria

Kuih keria LAAAGIIII!!!!!!...Apo nak dikato, Mr Hubby punya kesukaan.......dah disuruh buat ni den buat ajelah....hehe...jangan boring ya..siaran ulangan..this time gula dia tak berapa menjadi...kita suka yang gulanya berkeping2 gitu..

Ingredients:-
500gm ubi keledek putih
1 cawan tepung gandum
Sedikit garam
3 sudu besar gula dan 2 sudu besar air

Method:-
Rebus ubi keledek hingga empuk.
Toskan airnya dan bubuh sedikit garam.
Lenyek sampai hancur sementara ubi masih panas.
Rehatlah dulu sementara menunggu ubi betul2 sejuk.
Bila sudah sejuk, masukkan tepung gandum dan uli hingga sebati.
Buatlah bentuk seperti gelang dan goreng.
Setelah siap digoreng, masak gula dgn air dalam kuali lain.(ayu masukkan air dulu mendidih baru masukkan gula, bila pekat & berbuih baru masukkan kuih).
Didihkan gula hingga pekat.
Masukkan kuih tadi dan kacau hingga rata. Bagi semua kuih kena gula.
Kacau hingga gula nampak bertali baru boleh tutup api.
Dah tutup api , kacau lagi hingga gula kering dan kuih dan tidak melekat.

Daging Kandar

Daging Kandar resipi dari  Kakasma yang duduk di Rembau, to go along with my roti jala...
Kalau lah, kuali tu sampai awal sehari aje..sudah tentu dah kena pecah dara..hehehe..I made this for Sunday..
Uish sedap and terasalah this dish!!..memang ada rasa kemamak -an nya tau!..very rich!.. Thank you kak!!..
Actually, this dish has already travelled to so many kitchen, but belum ada seru nak buat, then  when I decided to make the roti jala, barulah terfikir tentang lauk ni...I made cair sikit cause nak cicah dengan roti jala tu..

Ingredients:-

1/2 kg daging
6 ulas bawang putih/1 inci halia(tumbuk/blend)
*2 sudu besar kicap pekat
*2 sudu besar sos tomato
*2 sudu besar sos cili
*2 pkt serbuk kari daging babas(1 1/2 pun boleh) -(Ayu gunakan 50g)
1 labu bawang besar(dimayang)
1 ulas bawang putih (dimayang)
Kulit kayu manis dan bunga lawang -(Ayu gunakan 1 each)
sedikit daun kari
garam dan perasa 
Method:-
Daging dibersihkan hiris dan direbus(simpan air rebusan)
Tumiskan bawang besar,bawang putih,kulit kayu manis dan bunga lawang hingga naik bau.
Masukkan bawang putih dan halia yang ditumbuk halus dan juga daun kari.
Kemudian masukkan campuran *rempah tadi(kicap pekat,sos dan serbuk kari).kacau sebati.
bila dah sebati kuah masukkan daging dan air rebusan daging.
Masukkan garam dan perasa.kacau lagi
Perasakan dan masak lah sehingga kuah menjadi pekat.
sesuai dimakan dengan nasi dan roti

Nasi Goreng Belacan

This was Saturday's breakfast..purposely cooked extra rice on Friday's night..so that can be fried the next morning...

 Ingredients:-
nasi untuk 3-4 orang makan
*10 tangkai cili merah
*3 biji bawang putih
* 6 biji bawang merah
*2 inci belacan bakar
3 biji telur
2 sudu besar sos tomato
hirisan kobis
1 keping fish cake
garam (kalau perlu) & perasa secukupnya

1 cawan ikan bilis goreng(terpulang nak gaul sekali dengan nasi atau makan bersama nasi)

Method:-
Tumis bahan2 kisar*, hingga naik bau dan betul2 garing.Masukkan sos tomato, kobis, fish cake dan gaul rata. Tambahkan garam & serbuk perasa. Kacau hingga sebati. Pecahkan telur, biarkan sekejap baru masukkan nasi dan gaul rata. Bila bahan2 sudah menyerap matikan api. Siap dihidang panas bersama ikan bilis goreng dan kacang goreng.

Kuih Lapis Ubi Kayu

Sambung balik..from the Maghrib break..hehe...so far,my toilet is doing well..but the penat part was to every day I have to sweep and mop the floor with the habuk and pasir...tomorrow last day lah..then they will lay the tiles..this weekend will have to find another contractor to fix the sink...After this if leak lagi memanglah tak tahu apa  nak cakap...mesti I nangis dulu..hahaha...

Anyway, dalam sibuk2 menghirup udara habuk dan berjalan diatas lantai pasir..sempat juga I buat this kuih for Mr Hubby's breakfast...you know what, my mum yang jarang2 beri pujian to me to some of my kuih that I made, this time, she said Sedap!..and really ate the most..hehe..the reason was because rasanya ada ala2 bingka ubi, which is her favourite..

The part yang I like about this kuih was after steaming kita terus bakar  and the other was the taste ada perasa kopi sikit2..sedaplah keseluruhannya...boleh buat lagi ni lain kali...
Terimakasih Kak Wan, kita selalu cuba resipi2 dari blog kakwan ni, sebab most of it kena dengan selera kita..

Bahan A:-
1 kg ubi kayu
150ml air
(di potong kecil dan di kisar dengan air hingga halus) -(Ayu gunakan ubi parut yang sudah dikisar dipasar)

Bahan B:-
200ml santan pekat KARA
100ml air
300gm gula-(Ayu gunakan 175g)
1 Tbsp tepung ubi
1 Tbsp tepung kastard
2 Tbsp minyak jagung/masak
1/4 tsp garam halus
100gm kelapa parut muda

Bahan C:-
2 tsp serbuk kopi segera/koko-
(Ayu tambah 1 sudu kecil serbuk koko dan gunakan 2 sudu kecil serbuk kopi segera 3-in -1)
1 tsp air panas
(Larutkan hingga rata)

Cara-cara:-
1.  Perah/tapis bahan A di dalam penapis dan biarkan airnya selama 20 minit di dalam bekas.  Buang air jernih di atasnya dan ambil pati ubi kayu yang mendap.  Campurkan dengan parutan ubi yang di perah tadi.
2.  Satukan bahan B dan gaul bersama parutan ubi kayu.  Bahagikan kepada 2 bahagian (+-700ml)(Ayu 1442ml dibahagi 2 = 721ml)
3.  Bahagian pertama di gaul dengan bahan C dan bahagian kedua di biarkan dengan warna asal.
4.  Leser loyang 8" empatsegi dengan mentega.  Panaskan kukusan.
5.  Ambil 1/2 bahagian (+- 350ml)(Ayu 364ml) dari adunan kopi dan ratakan di dalam loyang.  Tutup loyang dengan alumium foil dan kukus selama 8 minit.
6.  Ambil 1/2 bahagian dari adunan warna asal dan ratakan ke atas adunan kopi yang di kukus tadi.  Tutup dengan aluminium foil dan kukus selama 10 minit.
7.  Buat langkah 5 dan 6 hingga habis.  Untuk lapisan terakhir, tutup dengan aluminium foil dan kukus selama 20 minit.
8.  Angkat dari pengukus dan masukkan ke dalam oven yang telah di panaskan terlebih dahulu.  Bakar selama 30-40 minit pada suhu 180C hingga atasnya keperangan.
9.  Biarkan betul2 sejuk baru di potong.  Jangan di potong ketika panas kerana kuih masih lagi lembut.

*** Boleh juga lapisan ini di bakar terus dari oven tetapi kuihnya tidak selembut dari yang di kukus.

Sayur Goreng Rampai


Since taugeh pun banyak, tauhu pun banyak, gara2 tak sempat nak goreng mee during the kenduri..jadi kita pun ada banyak taugeh and tauhu overstock ler..so decided to buat sayur aje and goreng them..recipe again from CMG,..sempoi lagi..thanks ya che mat again..


 BAHAN-BAHANNYA :-)
2 camca besar ikan bilis, cuci dan toskan
2 tube tauhu jepun
1/2 biji capsicum merah, hiris kasar
1/2 biji capsicum kuning, hiris kasar
1/2 biji capsicum hijau, hiris kasar
2 cawan taugeh (jika suka)
3 tangaki kacang panjang, dipotong2
4 batang putik jagung, hiris serong
1 biji bawang besar, hiris kasar
4 ulas bawang putih, dititik
5 kuntum cendawan butang segar, hiris kasar
4 kuntum cendawan shitake segar, hiris kasar
2 camca besar sos tiram
Garam secukup rasa
Sedikit air

CARA MEMBUATNYA :-)
  1. Ikan bilis digoreng hingga kuning keemasan dan garing, angkat dan toskan. Tauhu jepun dipotong 8 setiap tiub dan goreng hingga kuning keemasan, angkat dan toskan.
  2. Tumis bawang besar dan bawang putih hingga harum, masukkan sos tiram. Masukkan cendawan butang dan shitake, goreng hingga harum. Tuang sedikit air.
  3. Masukkan sayur2 lain kecuali ikan bilis. Kacau rata dan tambah sedikit garam jika perlu. Bila sayur sedikit lembut, boleh diangkat dan taburkan ikan bilis tadi. Hidangkan segera.

Kerisi Sambal Cili Padi


 Ok hari ni marathon punya posting ya..hehe....lauk untuk orang besar...layan..

Ingredients:-
8 ekor ikan kerisi dibersihkan dan digaul dengan kunyit & garam, digoreng dan ketepikan
*2 biji bawang putih
*20 biji cili padi
*5 biji bawang merah
2 biji bawang besar dihiris bulat
1 asam keping
garam, gula & perasa secukupnya


Method:-
Tumis semua bahan* kisar hingga naik bau dan garing. Masukkan bawang besar yang telah dihiris bulat dan biarkan hingga layu. Masukkan asam keping, tambah air sedikit kalau kering sangat, kacau dan masukkan garam, gula dan perasa. Masukkan ikan yang telah digoreng tadi dan gaul hingga sebati. Matikan api dan bolehlah dihidang.

Telur Goreng Kicap

Its either, siang kita makan mee or malam, kalau siang makan mee, then malam kita makan nasi..so kalau makan nasi, lauk pun sempoi2 aje..mana yang terlarat and terbuat..haha..so lauk paling simple lauk telur goreng kicap nilah...lauk untuk budak2... malas nak perah otak ..hahaha..Ok, kita letak recipenya ya..kot2 mana tahu siapa2 yang baru nak belajar masak tu boleh lah try ... tapi yang ini versi akak/auntie ya..heheh

Ingredients:-
5-6 biji telur digoreng ketepikan
2-3 biji bawang putih dihiris
1 biji bawang besar dihiris bulat
2 biji lada hijau atau merah di belah dua
3-4 biji cili padi dihiris atau campak aje(kalau tak nak pedas campak aje atau omit this)
2-4 sudu besar kicap manis-anggaran
2-4 sudu besar kicap masin-anggaran
1/2 -1+ cawan air- anggaran
1-2 biji perahan limau sambal
garam kalau perlu & serbuk perasa

Method:-
Tumis bawang putih hingga naik bau. Masukkan bawang besar yang dihiris bulat dan lada hijau, cili padi. gaul hingga layu. Masukkan kicap manis & masin  dan air secukupnya, biarkan  hingga mendidih.Bila dah mendidih, jus limau kacau sekejap , perasakan dengan serbuk perasa dan garam jikaperlu. Masukkan telur yang telah digoreng tadi dan gaul hingga sebati. Siap untuk dihidang..

Mee Sup Udang

Salam dipetang Jumaat..Mee lagi!!..naik kembung makan mee almost everyday for the past few
days..hahaha..yalah nak perhabiskan mee kuning ku yang masih ada 3kg belum terusik lagi, the other  3kg dah habis...huwahaaha..itu pun jenuh nak habiskan...haha....since that I ubah2 aje lah masakkan mee ni..ada yang di goreng basah ada yang dibuat mee bandung....last2..I decided to try this mee sup, CMG's recipe yang baru2 ni he posted ..tapi mine tak adalah bubuh udang besar, medium size aje, I campurkan dengan sedikit sotong, fish cakes and apa2 yang ada dalam fridge..so jangan lah boring ya the next time menu mee lagi...

Only difference is that I added egg in it, untuk meramai2kan bahan2 dalam mee tu..haha..

 BAHAN-BAHANNYA :-)
10 ekor udang sederhana besar
1 kiub pati ayam "MAGGI"
5 biji bawang merah, hiris
2 ulas bawang putih, cincang
1/2 inci halia, diketuk
1 liter air
1 mangkuk kecil bunga kobis yang dipotong sekuntum2
1 biji tomato belah 8
3 batang putih jagung, hiris serong setiap satu
1 keping fish cake, hiris nipis
1 pokok daun bawang potong kasar
1 camca teh lada hitam yang baru dikisar
1/4 camca teh minyak bijan
2 camca besar minyak masak
Garam secukup rasa

BAHAN-BAHAN LAIN :-)
500 g mee kuning, cuci dan celur sekejap, toskan
Hirisan daun bawang
Hirisan daun sup
Bawang goreng
Cili jeruk atau sambal kicap

CARA MEMBUATNYA :-)
  1. Udang dibersihkan, kerat hujung kepalanya, lumur dengan garam dan jus lemon, perap sekajap, cuci kembali dan toskan.
  2. Dalam periuk, panaskan minyak masak + minyak bijan, tumis hirisan bawang merah, bawang putih dan halia hingga harum. Tuang air dan masukkan kiub ayam maggi, biar mendidih.
  3. Tambah udang, fish cake, bunga kobis dan lada hitam, kacau dan biar masak perlahan. Masukkan daun bawang, putih jagung dan juga tomato. Tambah garam secukup rasa, masak sekejap. Rasa dan jika ok boleh matikan api.
  4. Mee kuning dialih kedalam bekas yang sesuai. Tuang kuah tadi atas mee, hias dengan taburan daun bawang, daun sup dan bawang goreng. Hidangkan bersama cili jeruk atau pun sambal kicap. Sedap dimakan panas2...

Mee Soto Banjar


Salam, since my common toilet kena pecah dari hari Monday..and since the toilet is just next to my kitchen..we have been cooking and eating simple food....with all the dust, and workers lalu lalang with the cement, masak pun ala kadar ajelah ..hari ni last day for that toilet , as for now, the workers tengah lay the tiles.....tomorrow my Master bedroom toilet pulak kena pecah, huhu..

Remember the 2 packets of 3kg each mee kuning yang suppose for the kenduri, now we are trying to finish it up slowly hehehe..only for dinner then masak simple2 cause kalau asik makan mee, perut angin aje ler...
Original recipe was to use lontong or nasi impit, memang ada kelainan bila makan this Soto Banjar, cause ada telur rebus to go along with it..as for the sambal, I tak ikut  sebab, when rasa cili padi dengan bawang putih tok2 macam tak best pulak..hehe so I adjust ikut my selera ajelah...Recipe for Bagedil ever posted before.

Ingredients:-
1 batang lontong dipotong ikut selera-(Ayu gantikan mee kuning)
1 ekor ayam yang besar dicuci bersih
5 ikat su'un direndam hingga kembang dan disiram dengan air panas
1/2 kg taugeh dicelur sebentar
5cm kayu manis
5 kuntum bunga cengkih
4 biji buah pelaga
1 kiub tok ayam -(Ayu gunakan 2 kiub)
beberapa hirisan limau nipis
bawang goreng untuk ditabur
hirisan daun sup dan daun bawang untuk ditabur
beberapa keping bagedil
beberapa biji telur rebus

Bahan kisar:-
10 biji bawang kecil
6 biji bawang putih
1 sudu makan lada putih
3cm halia
1 biji buah pala, dihiris halus-(Ayu gunak 1/2 sudu kecil serbuk buah pala)

Bahan sambal soto:-
20 biji lad padi
1 biji bawang putih
(Direbus lada padi dan bawang putih, kemudian kisar halus dan tumis dengan sedikit minyak)
Ayu malas nak tumis lepas blender, (kita gunakan air rebusan ayam) lepas tu kita campurkan dengan sedikit kicap manis, masin dan perahan limau sambal sedikit dan gaulkan aje..

Method:-
Rebus ayam dengan 2 litre air, bahan kisar, bunga cengkuh, kayu manis, buah pelaga, kiub ayam dan sedikit garam sehingga empuk.(Ayu tambah sedikit perasa). Jika airnya kurang, tambah. Ini adalah kuah soto. Setelah empuk keluarkan ayam dan dagingnya disiat2.

Cara menghidang:-
Susun didalam mangkuk beberapa keping lontong(kita celurkan meenya), suun, ayam, tauge dan siram kuah. Tabur hirisan daun sup dan daun bawang, bawang goreng, perah sedikit limau nipis, letak sedikit sambal, telur rebus, bergedil dan jikalau suka sedikit kicap. Enak dimakan panas2.

Yasinan & Tahlil 2010

Salam, miss me tak?..haha..manalah tahu ada orang rindu kat kita..mungkin jugak ada orang cakap peduli apa..hehehe...tak apalah perasan sendiri ni...well just to update been busy since last Friday.. buat kuih and pergi pasar on Saturday...  for the yasinan & tahlil on Sunday morning..biasalah since Ramadhan is around the junction (bukan corner eh..heheh), some houses mungkin buat bacaan tahlil & yasinan, for arwah2 yang telah pergi dahulu...at the same time kenduri doa selamat jugaklah...

Well we didnt really invite ramai orang just my father's friends, pakcik2 yang baca dalam satu kumpulan marhaban..and our brothers & sisters aje..adalah dalam 30++ orang..the menu was Nasi Ayam  Ipoh, hehe..dont play2..Udang Bawang Putih, yang kuih muihnya I made Kek Gula Hangus, Kuih Bakar Jagung and Chocolate Banana Muffins, all  with the help of my mum & miserable me..haha..tak cukup manpowerlah kira...yalah sampai tak tidur mokcik tau from Saturday morning till the next Sunday afternoon when the occasion ends..banyak juga tragedy yang kalau di cerita tak habis entry ni..

Oklah, sikit aje,  yang mana my adunan kuih bakar jagung tu half of the mixture turned sour,(I dont understand why this happens,) I adun pukul 4 pagi then bakar half way sebab nak uruskan lain hal, then at
9 am I nak sambung bakar dia dah berbuih... luckily managed to bakar dalam 30 ketul , yang mana tak sempat nak goreng mee, walaupun dah beli bahan2 till now 2 packet 3kg mee kuning masih ada lagi ..yang mana tak sempat nak potong itu dan ini when the pakcik2 tu dah hampir habis baca and dah nak makan...aduhai..nasib baik, my sisters-in -law tolong sana sini..kalau tak nak terkucil dibuatnya ..kiki
Apa2pun shukur semua dah selesai ..cuma sekarang ni , my house berabuk gilers, cause of the dust from the toilet revamp..Here are some of the pictures that I managed to snap, right before the pakcik2 bangun and help themseleves..

Tauhu Masak Taucu

Masukkan yang ini dulu..repeat telecast, but I still want to promote lauk ni..sebab sedap...dah buat a few times..siapa2 yang suka tauhu this is the dish that I would recommend...

Ok if I am free to update further after this, I will updatelah..if not,this would be my last entry for this week..ya..I will be busy for the next few days...this Sunday there will be yasinan & tahlil at my house, so couldnt vsit you guys lah..then come Monday, the contractor is coming to PECAHKAN my toilet, the common toilet first then followed by the masterbedroom toilet, basically the whole of next week, my house will be very noisy with the drilling, dusty and messy...

Bahan-bahannya
4 keping tahu yang besar, dipotong dadu selebar 1 inci-(Ayu potong 4)
12 ekor udang, dikupas kulitnya
10 batang lada hijau, dipotong 3-(Ayu gunaka cili padi ketuk)
5 biji bawang besar, dihiris bulat-(Ayu gunakan 2 biji aje)
2 ulas bawang putih, dihiris
2 batang serai, dititik
1 botol taucu, dicuci, toskan dan ramas kasi hancur sedikit-( Ayu gunakan 1/2 botol aje)
2 cawan air
2 inci belacan, asam jawa, sebesar setengah telur ayam
garam secukup rasa
gula secukup rasa
serbuk perasa jika suka
minyak untuk menumis

Cara-caranya
1. Panaskan minyak dalam kuali. Tahu yang telah dipotong dadu selebar 1 inci, digoreng. Jangan goreng terlalu garing cukup sekadar ia kekuningan sedikit. Angkat dan ketepikan.
2. Asam jawa, belacan dan 2 cawan air dicampurkan dan diramas sehingga rata. Ketepikan.
3. Minyak yang telah digunakan untuk menggoreng tahu tadi boleh kita gunakan untuk menumis. Masukkan serai yang telah dititik bersama bawang putih, bawang besar dan lada hijau. Tumis sehingga bahan-bahan naik baunya.
4. Masukkan taucu yang telah diramas dan juga udang. Gaul rata dan masukkan juga bancuhan air asam dan juga belacan yang telah disediakan tadi. Masak selama 5 minit pada api sederhana supaya rempahnya bangkit.
5. Kemudian masukkan garam (jangan terlalu banyak) sebab taucu pun dah ada rasa masin, serbuk perasa, gula dan juga tahu yang telah digoreng. Gaul rata dan biarkan ia mereneh supaya kuahnya menyerap dalam tahu selama 5 – 10 minit. Padamkan api dan sedia untuk dihidang.

Nota: Sekiranya anda suka pedas boleh letak cili padi hijau. Lauk ini kalau disimpan semalaman dan dipanaskan rasanya lagi umppph.. Selamat mencuba.

Ikan Bawang Putih

Ok continue balik ni...by the time this post masuk its already Friday morning...this was, also yesterday's Wednesday's menu..ni lauk orang besar..cause warga emas tak suka sangat makan ayam...so I made this..
I just fried 2 ekor of this black tilapia...goreng garing, ermm sedappp!..The recipe suggest this dish is also suitable to be eaten with chicken rice...but for me white rice also sedap tau...

Actually, I wanted to test this dish, to go along with the chicken rice that I am going to cook this Sunday for my house yasinan & tahlil..Instead of the fish, I am going to substitute with prawns...will update on that next week insyaallah..

Ingredients:-
1 ekor ikan tilapia

Ingredients Untuk Sos:-
Minyak untuk menumis
5 cili merah dihiris asar- Ayu gunakan 1 aje
2 sudu besar bawang putih kisar
20 ulas cili padi dikisar kasar
segenggam daun selasih-(Ayu tak letak sebab tak ada)
2 helai daun limau perut
1 cawan air jarang
sedikit kicap hitam
sedikit sos ikan Thai
gula secukup rasa

Method:-Besihkan ikan, kemudian bilas dengan air garam dan lumurkan dengan sedikit tepung jagung (Ayu lumurkan dengan sedikit garam) dan goreng hingga garing dengan minyak yang secukupnya. Kemudian angkat ikan dan letakkan dalam pinggan panjang yang dalam sedikit untuk disiram dengan sosnya.

Method Untuk sos:-
Tumis bawang putih hingga layu, masukkan cili padi, air kicap hitam, sos ikan, gula, daun selasih dan daun limau perut. Biarkan ia mendidih, Masukkan cili merah. Sos ini rasanya mestilah pedas, manis, lemak dan sedap. Matikan api. Curahkan sos ini diatas ikan yang siap digoreng tadi. Hidangkan dengan nasi ayam.

Ayam Goreng Bersantan

 Salam, on this dark Thursday night...hehe..I guessed 'Barbie' already tired of posing, and wanted to go back to her fairyland to be with 'Ken'..hahaha....since no more cake to eat, lets eat chicken..kakah...this was yesterday's menu... tried this chicken recipe..yang kerak2 kat atas tu are actually 'tahi minyak' yang selepas dimasukkan santan dan dibiarkan untuk seketika hingga kering...satu kelainan juga ayam masak macam gini..boleh tahan juga lah..

Ingredients:-
1 ekor ayam
1 sudu teh jintan manis
1 sudu teh jintan putih
1 sudu teh ketumbar
10 ulas bawang merah atau 3 labu bawang besar
4 ulas bawang putih
1 sudu besar halia kisar-(Ayu tambah)
sedikit garam-(Ayu tambah)

(Gaul semua bahan2 dengan ayam dan perap beberapa minit.)

2 batang serai di hiris dan ditumbuk-(Ayu ketuk aje)
2 inci halia dan sedikit lengkuas di tumbuk
1 packet pati  santan kotak( kotak kecik)
1 asam keping-(ayu tambah)
sedikit gula, garam & perasa

Method:-
Goreng ayam lepas diperap hingga garing. Angkat dan ketepikan. Tumis bahan yang telah ditumbuk hingga garing. Masukkan pati santan, asam keping serta ayam goreng tadi. Masukkan garam, gula dan perasa secukupnya. Biarkan mendidih dan kering barulah diangkat.

Princess Barbie - Devil's Food Chocolate Cake

The Princess Barbie - Devil's Food Chocolate Cake.
As usual, must be chocolate for birthday cakes...
First its my kids favourite and second you wont go wrong with chocolate..hehe
 So this was my virgin attempt in making barbie doll cake..
where do I learn this?..Youtube ler..hehe..FREE mah!!!
Although, in the videos, they show mostly using fondant and buttercream,
I just adapted  the techniques..and just apply my chocolate ganache to it..

This were the moulds that I used for the cake..
The dolly cake mould was found in 'Spotlight' in Plaza Singapura, came across the mould by chance and straight away grabbed it
without thinking twice although the price was quite dear..
the other aluminuim tray was my normal tray for making my kuih2..
The wilton dolly was from 'Phoon Huat'..murah aje tu..

I made 4 adunan for the dolly mould and 2 adunan for the normal tray..
Used up about 11/2 block of cream cheese
and the full amount for the chocolate ganache..
The normal tray as the base then the dome tray..
Slice the cake twice to get a 3 layer cake. Altogether 4 layers..
Applied cream cheese to each layer one by one..

Once the cream cheese already covered, smoothen it..
place the cake in the fridge for a while to make life easier later on for the chocolate
ganache..

When the cream cheese has slightly harden, 
I quickly pour the chocolate ganache and smoothen it..
Decorated the cake with whatever available..
dont want to use fondant cause the kids dont like fondant cakes..
Dont want to use buttercream cause lazy to mix them heheh..
Slide dolly in the centre of the cake..

Applied the chocolate ganache to dress up the top,
for this one I used my previous chocolate ganache which has already been slightly thicken by itself..
using the squeeze and pull up method for the top...
Throw some gold dragees to give some design..
 Slice some strawberries and touched up with ganache 
mana2 yang patut ler. Stick the dasies candle to blend in..

guests..Comments from them.'Yu, cake boleh tahan sedap eh!! boleh order lah macam ni!!'
hahaha...
Oh yes, I must tell you this., a lady saw me carrying the cake when
I was walking towards the entrance of the restaurant, 
cause no box can fit in this tall barbie cake..
she was so,  surprise to see the cake and asked me whether I made it on my own,
I answered her malu2 and said yeslah...Thanking her for the compliments and walked away
to the party room....
Next, few minutes, my mum came to me and said that the lady earlier asked for
my contact number and name, so that she can call me to take order..
My mum told her that I dont take order as I just made the cakes for fun and for the family..
but she said its oklah just give her the number who knows I might one to make for her one day..
..lah..nak marah pun tak boleh, sebab my mum dah kasi my number kat dia...
after hearing the story, some of my in laws, adviced me why not...
well mungkin belum ada seru and confidence kot...

Chocolate Banana Muffins

 There were only 3 miserable pisang rajah left in the fridge when it was supposed to be made for another recipe, I just forgotten about it till the banana skins have turned to black..heheh...those were the balanced that I've put aside after frying some banana fritters the other day..really wasteful if were to throw it away, as pisang rajah was quite rare to be located in my area...so far can only be found in Geylang market...

The original recipe was to garnish sliced bananas on top of the muffins but I was shot of 1, I just used the chocolate chips as the toppings and instead of using the Valrhona feves which the recipe calls for, I just used the normal chocolate chips available at home... I didnt adjust the sugar amount and it was just nice, within minutes the muffins were done!!!....
Recipe was taken from Do what I Like.. thank you Florence for the well received menu in my house!..Will revisit this recipe next time with the sliced banana garnish..

Ingredients:-
200g cake flour-I used top flour cause no stock
1 tsp baking soda -(potash)
1/4 tsp salt
40g castor sugar
40g light brown sugar

20 pieces 66% Valrhona Feves chocolate (Do not add to dry ingredients)-I used chocolate chips cause no stock

Wet Ingerdients:- 
185g banana mashed- I used pisang rajah
2 tbsp maple syrup -I used 1 tsp vanilla essence
70g plain yogurt
50ml milk
100g lightly beaten egg-(2 small eggs)
40ml melted butter

Method:-
Combine all dry ingrdients till well mixed. Combine all wet ingrdients till well mixed. Pour (1) into (2) and mix everything until just combined and batter is thick. Do not overmix. Spoon some batter into muffin tray lined with paper muffin cups, top with 2 pieces of feves chocolate then add in more batter till the cups is 80% full. Place a slice of banana on top of each muffin for garnish. Bake at 190C for 20 minutes-30 minutes or till golden brown and cooked.

Siput Gong Gong


Another repeat telecast..actually the recipe given by Diana, there's no accurate amount, she just noted she used all the ingredients below but I adjusted to my taste...sorry also recipe in English I just copy and paste from the last entry..

Ingredients:-
2kg siput gong gong(washed & cleaned, a few times cause slimy)
1 big onion sliced
1 lemongrass crushed-Ayu added 2
1 red chili sliced
3-4 birds eye chillies (Just throw inside)-Ayu used more
1 tbsp belachan (mashed)-Ayu used belacan granules aje
water to estimate as long cover the gong gong
2-3 dried tamarind sliced
salt and msg to taste
Method:-
Add all the ingredients in a pot and put to boil. Boil till cooked and use the toothpick to 'cungkil' the meat.According to Diana, dip in sambal belachan. But for me I just eat like that with rice pun sedap.

Nasi Goreng Sardin

Salam, been busy, so managed to just fried this for  lunch yesterday..Actually today will be more busier, but I just quickly update, cause tomorrow already weekend and normally I wont update during weekends..hehe..

Recipe, after browsing and combining here and there..first time buat nasi goreng sardin ni..hehe..boleh tahan bila makan time panas2...imagine, makan nasi dengan sambal tumis sardin & kentang..gitu2lah rasanya..hehe

Ingredients:-
nasi sejuk untuk 4-5 orang makan
1 tin sederhan sardin-ambil ikannya dan 3 sudu besar sosnya
1 sudu besar bawang putih kisar
3 sudu besar bawang besar kisar
4 biji bawang merah dihiris
4-5 biji cili padi dihiris atau ketuk
1 sudu kecil halia kisar
2 sudu besar cili kisar
2 sudu besar sos tiram
 3 biji telur
2 biji kentang dihiris dan digoreng ketepikan
sedikit sayur kobis/carrot/cendawan tiram
garam & perasa secukupnya

Method:-
Ikan sardin, dibuang tulangnya, dan dihancur2kan sikit. Tumis bahan2 hiris hingga lembut, baru masukkan bahan2 kisar dan kacau hingga naik bau dan garing. Masukkan sos tiram, ikan sardin + kuah sardin dan garam & perasa. Kacau sekejap. Pecahkan telur. Masukkan kentang yang telah digoreng tadi bersama sayur2ran Kacau rata dan masukkan nasi, gaul sehingga bahan2 semua bersatu.
Boleh dimakan dengan ikan bilis goreng dan keropok ikan .

Popiah Kentang

Sempat made this for the break fast too.., and the kids afternoon snacks....SEDAP!!..lagi2 kalau makan panas2..tak cukup ni..kena buat lagi nanti...Got the recipe from Rinnchan's fotopages.., printed long ago, but only this time managed to do...cubalah, pasti tak menyesal...

Bahan Untuk inti:-
5 biji ubi kentang, direbus empuk, dibuang kulit dan dilecek
1 biji bawang besar, dicincang
2 biji bawang putih dicincang
1/2 sudu kecil serbuk lada putih
secubit serbuk lada hitam kasar
5 sudu besar daging cincang
1/2 cawan bawang goreng
sepokok daun saderi, dicincang
sepokok daun bawang, dicincang
garam secukup rasa
sedikit minyak masak untuk menumis

kulit popia secukupnya
minyak untuk menggoreng

Method:-
Panaskan minyak dan tumis bawang besar dan bawang putih sehingga layu. Masukkan lada putih dan lada hitam. Kacau seketika. Masukkan daging cincang. Masak sehingga air daging kering. Perasakan dengan sedikit garam. Masukkan kentang lecek. Kecilkan api. Gaulkan rata semua dan tutup api. Akhir sekali masukkan bawang goreng, daun saderi dan daun bawang. Gaul rata. Sejukkan seketika. Sediakan kulit popia, isikan inti, gulung dan goreng. Boleh dimakan begitu sahaja atau diciah bersama sos cili pilihan.

Sizzling Yee Mee

 Salam, by the time I posted this entry, its already Thursday morning and its 1 am...everybody has  already in their dreamworld and some are' floating' out there....well just wanted to post this first, as I will be quite busy tomorrow today, coordinating certain things, for this coming weekend..what is it that I will be busy about ya?...will update that when the time comes...will post some more entries if time permits ya...

Meanwhile, I have been making my repeat telecast recipes this past few days,  which quite sometimes I have not been making them, and will be shown in my next few entries, so please bear with me ...I had this for my break fast yesterday..done this before, you can check it out, as the last time the recipes are in English..Of course I made some adjustments for myself, with what available in the fridge...Please adjust ikut selera masing2 ya..I tak letak tepung jagung pun, sebab suka berkuah..masukkan mee dulu baru pecahkan telur sebab, I suka telur 3/4 masak....dan biasalah cili padi mesti ada, sebab lebih 'afdal' untuk tekak saya ni....hehehe..

Bahan2 untuk 2-3 org:-
2-3 sanggul (gulung) yee mee
5 ulas bawang putih
5 biji cendawan shitake ( cendawan kering)- rendam sehingga agak lembut dan potong 4
1 keping dada ayam- potong mengikut citarasa
3 biji cili kering- potong 2
2 sudu besar sos tiram
3 sudu besar kicap cair
1 sudu besar kicap pekat
1/2 in halia- hiris nipis
Serbuk lada hitam
garam- secukup rasa
Beberapa titik Minyak bijan
1 sudu besar Tepung jagung- dibancuh dgn sedikit air
sedikit minyak utk menumis
Method:-
Tumis bawang putih, cili kering dan halia sehingga naik baunya.
Masukkan ayam yg telah potong sehingga agak empuk.
Masukkan 2 cawan air.
Masukkan pula sos tiram, kicap cair dan kicap pekat. Masukkan pula serbuk lada hitam. Biarkan mendidih.
masukkan cendawan serta sayur2 lain- tunggu 2-3 min.
Masukkan campuran tepung jagung dan kacau.
Titikkan minyak bijan beberapa titik-jgn banyak2...
Akhir sekali, masukkan yee mee- biarkan sebentar & hidangkan panas2.

Lontong & Sayur Lodeh

 Ok this was the lontong that we had last Friday for my break fast, macam dah lama tak makan lontong, so made this lah since auntie also loves lontong, macam hari raya pulak eh..hehe... sorry the recipe was in English, cause I posted this before..for the sambal tumis, I forgot to take the shot, anyway, sambal tumis telur burung mixed with chicken eggs biasa aje...

Frankly, since I started blogging, most of the dishes and menu that I dont get to do during my working years I managed to do, especially simple dishes like this which I cant even cooked before!!!..bayangkanlah tu....
betapa lah punya kekurangan skill kan..hehe..maklumlah dulukan career woman!!..Aaaapuih!! heheheh

Ramai juga career women tapi dia orang pandai jugak masakkan..entahlah, dulu2 kan tinggal dengan mak, kira manjalah ni..hehe....tahu balik rumah dah siap tinggal makan aje...but since my mum sekarang dah tak berapa 'active' di dapur I took overlah..nasib baik dah berhenti kerja, my mum cakap..kalau tak makan ajelah apa yang dia masak..heheh..

Ingredients:-
1 small cabbage sliced
5-6 long beans sliced diagonally
1 small yam bean sliced like a match stick
some dried soy bean sticks soften
2 hard bean curd cut in quarters and fried- put aside
2 bay leaves
2 red chillies sliced
1 turmeric leaf sliced and tie a knot
1 tbsp coriander powder
2 litre coconut milk which has been mixed with water

*Blended Ingredients:-
3 candle nut
2 lemongrass
1cm galangal
2 inches fresh turmeric root
5 cloves garlic
1 big onion
10 dried chili soaked
a handful of dried shrimps soften

Method:-
Heat oil in pan.saute *blended ingredients till fragrant and add in coriander powder and all the vegetables except the fried bean curd. After that add in the coconut milk, fried bean curd, bay leaves and turmeric leaf. Let it boil for a while and keep on stirring so as the coconut milk wont be curdle. Add in salt, MSG and a bit of sugar.Ready to be serve together with Lontong.

Serunding Kelapa

Made this serunding for the lontong, I asked my mum for this recipe..normally serunding she would be the one who made them..this time round, after comparing here and there, I combined hers and mine...hehe..her recipe did not add the ikan bilis kiub, but I just added to see how it taste, sedap lagi dari her normal one tau..hehehe ...mintak ampun mak...hehe..

Ingredients:-
21/2 cawan kelapa parut putih-(1 packet)
garam, gula  & perasa secukupnya
minyak untuk menumis

2 sudu besar cili kisar
2 sudu besar bawang kisar
1/2 sudu besar bawang putih
1 sudu kecil lengkuas kisar
1 sudu kecil kunyit serbuk
1 sudu kecil serbuk ketumbar
1 sudu kecil serbuk jintan putih
1 sudu kecil serbuk jintan manis
1/4  kiub ikan bilis-(kiub dipotong 4 ambil 1/4 nya aje)
1 asam keping

Method:-
Panaskan minyak dan tumis bahan2 kisar(pes), daun limau perut, asam keping dan serai hingga naik bau. Masukkan kelapa parut, kacau rata. Masukkan garam, gula,perasa dan ikan bilis kiub, kacau terus hingga agak kering, dan berderai sikit. Serunding ini enak kalau sedikit lembab.

Paru Goreng - Fried Beef Lungs

When I made lontong, Mr Hubby sure requested this paru goreng to go along with it...to make things easier for me, I bought the ready boiled beef lungs, although ada sikit mahal, but it makes my life easier..hehe..save time, energy and gas rather  to boil them....

One thing about this boiled beef lungs, it already comes ready mixed with some spices, I dont really like the taste, so what I did, I washed them by rinsing of the beef lungs a few times till the water are really  crystal cleared..hehe cause what  I need was just the boiled  lungs...after drained, sliced to preference,  I just added some minced ginger, minced onions, minced garlics, some chili paste, turmeric powder and salt, let them stand marinated for a few minutes and fried them till crispy or to your preference..

The ready boiled beef lungs, comes in this package, about 400g each. Available in most supermarket in Singaporelah.. not sure in Malaysia ada tak..

Sotong Goreng Lada Hitam

Salam kembali lagi...tadi berhenti kejap..sebab sidai baju..hehe...dah petang2 sidai baju caya tu..!!..yalah, dah petang2 baru budak2 tu mandi!!..nak basuh pagi baju sikit lagi, cause my parents tak ada, they went in JB and overnight there....todaykan youth day, the kids tak sekolah, so bukan main belecin 1 hari tak mandi..terpekiklah macam mana..kena kejar dengan batang buluh baru lari keliling rumah..hehehe...siMarsya,
pagi2 dah dimandikan..so no hal ..ni yang the boyslah especially Iqram...aduh sampai nak terkeluar anak tekak aku tau..hahaha....

Ok sotong masak gini pun sedap...resepi pun lupa dari mana...minta halal ya siapa punya resepi ni..

Ingredients:-
1kg sotong dicuci dan dibersihkan (dipotong- digaul dgn serbuk kunyit , garam & serbuk lada hitam)
1 labu bawang besar dihiris bulat
3 biji bwg putih dikisar
1-2 hirisan halia
2-3 sudu besar lada hitam kasar
5-6 batang kacang panjang
2 chili merah dihiris
5-6 biji cili padi
sedikit perasa

Method:-
Tumis hirisan bawang putih dan halia sehingga naik bau, masukkan bawang besar dan dikacau sebati..Masukkan  sotong. Gaul dan dikacau rata .Tambahkan sedikit perasa jika perlu, Masukkan kacang panjang, biarkan sebentar. Jangan masak terlalu lama kerana nanti sotong tu liat.

Telur Rebus Masala


Salam, some of you guys must be thinking what kind of song that I have just uploaded for my playlist kan?..
 he..he..he..well that was the 'pukulan' I 've got after watching Korean dramas!!!..thanks to Mr Hubby who was hooked to Korean dramas!!and I am the victim dah 'terikut'2 and like korean songs.....haha..

Basically this song was one of the songs for the korean drama 'IIRIS' that Mr Hubby bought the whole series in CD..the story about 2 top  korean male agents, swore to trust each other and unchanging friendship, both fall in love with another female agent but one of them got closer to the girl, and the other fights to hide his feelings..some how, the first guy was assigned to go for a solo mission and succeded,but his return was not actually welcomed by the boss as he wanted him killed..so the story continues as he wanted to take revenge and have to face so many obstacle to return back to his country..somehow, he struggle to go back to his love, but he cant as he returned as a terrorist...just so sad, whenever this two couple appeared, the song also played at the background...jiwang2 ko!!..

Ok, back to the telur rebus masala above, I did this before, also loong time ago..I cant remember where I've got the recipe from, which required the boiled eggs to be fried after that, since my kids dont like boiled eggs to be fried after that, I just boiled and dump in the gravy...just double the amount if need more..

Ingredients:-(2 orang)
2 biji telur yang telah direbus
11/2 sudu besar serbuk kari masala boleh juga guna rempah kari daging kalau takde rempah masala

3 biji bawang besar merah di mayang halus
1 kulit kayu manis(Ayu tak letak)
1 tangkai daun kari
1 sudu kecil serbuk cili
sedikit garam n serbuk perasa

Cara cara:-
Goreng telur rebus dengan sedikit minyak, setelah garing angkat. Di kuali yang sama letak kulit kayu manis dan daun kari. Letak serbuk rempah masala, sedikit air dan serbuk cili, masak sehingga naik minyak. Kemudian letak bawang dan 1/2 cawan air serta garam secukup rasa. Masak sehingga bawang tu layu.
Masukkan telur dan gaul rata. Siap
